I've been in business as a family photographer since 2019, but have been practicing the art of photography much longer. I've had a camera in my hand since high school. Immediately after High School I attended Brooks Institute of Photography at the tender age of 17, and of course, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life (I was 17 after all), so about halfway through my photography education, I discovered Graphic Design, thought that was super cool, switched gears earned a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications.

While spending my post-college days as a Graphic Designer, photography continued to be a strong passion. I found myself tinkering with digital cameras, trying out new techniques with friends, and learning more and more however I could. As a Graphic Designer for 10 years, I worked closely with photographers, and was always intrigued by their process.

The photography flame was always lit, but things finally got serious when I became a mom. When my first son was born, I started taking pictures of him constantly (like we mommas do, right?), and realized how important it was to document every fleeting phase of life because when I blinked, he was already bigger.

When my second son was born, the intensity of my need to document magnified. Time moved even faster with two kids, and once those moments pass, all we have left are photographs to help us remember.

And from that, my WHY was born.

I want my clients to have beautiful memories of their loved ones to look back on and cherish forever.

Photographs are one of the best investments we can make for our families, or our future family. Photographs tell a story, they tell YOUR story. If you’re looking to freeze time - photography is the only way to do it.
